The Muslim Caucus in Parliament has taken on the Christian Council of Ghana (CCG), and the Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference (GCBC), for supporting the decision to prevent Muslim students in Wesley Girls’ High School from fasting during Ramadan. More than 30 communities in the Greater Accra and Central Regions will, from this morning, experience 12 hours of power outage. Some will have no power from 6 am till 6 pm, while others will be without power from 6 pm to 6 am. The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has explained that the regulated outages are to enable it to connect its newly constructed supply point to the Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo)’s transmission line.
