At Bekwai Municipal Assembly Grounds today, the government of Ghana led by President Nana Addo distributed 1,800 Cook stoves to the some of communities in the Municipal and was powered by South Korea’s government and the East – West Power Corporation.
Speaking to the General Secretary for Amansie Youth For Action (AYA) , K. Atta, he questioned the government till when does South Korea government got to know to distribute Cook stove to Ghanaians but not gas cylinder? Ghanaians Leaders has sold our dignitaries to these colonial masters to accept any useless project they appeal to our leaders.
Mr. President, Ghanaians deserve better than this project, and with this Cook stoves, our leaders forgot to know the vivid information behind this project of the sum of $5,500,000.00 to produce locally and distribute to 500,000 improved charcoal stove in Ghana in exchange for carbon credit to offset carbon dioxide emissions. And this will be distributed to beneficiary households in all the 16 Regions of the country.
Mr. President, be bold and tell the European countries, Asian, Korea etc that Africa , especially Ghana also deserve better projects because you’re the Chairman of the ECOWAS.
With this project, these people knows that Ghana has natural mineral resources that should fetch us to be a rich country in Africa and the World at large, and because our leaders, I mean both parties (NPP, NDC) doesn’t care about and always wants to benefit to cater for their families , they (America, Asian, China, South Korea, will use their brains to make money from Ghana through galamsey and others. Mr.President, this charcoal Cook stoves will bring deforestation because it uses charcoal.
The people of Bekwai especially doesn’t need this Cook stoves, we need Astroturf, Bekwai needs Ultramodern market centers, Bekwai needs 1D1F, most of Bekwai youth are unemployed therefore we need job, Dumsor is collapsing private businesses in Bekwai, Most of government schools are still studying under trees, Drivers are crying of the increment of fuel prises, Bekwai are crying of the taxes been imposed on Ghanaians, galamseyers are destroying our water bodies, Mr. President fix all for Ghanaians.
The group is calling call on NPP government led by Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo, 1st Deputy Speaker of Parliament also a Member of Parliament for Bekwai constituency to help the good people of Bekwai because, We also deserve to benefit the national cakes.
