The Senior Staff Association of Universities of Ghana wants all forms of intimidation and threats against its members who are currently on strike to cease. The Notorious Highway robbery gang terrorising residents in Abuakwa North and South Municipalities in the Eastern region have shot and killed a woman after blocking the Akyem Ettukrom to Bunso stretch of the Koforidua to Bunso Highway Sunday dawn. The Minister for Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, says most of the country’s public senior high schools will be taken off the double track calendar in the next three years. He said this will be done based on the progress of work on infrastructural projects ongoing in the various schools across the country.
