The world is motionless without Science, Technology, and Innovation – Prof Kyem Brempong

Obrempong Prof. Kyem – Amponsah, the Chief of Fiapre, a suburb of Sunyani in the Sunyani West Municipality of the Bono Region has urged the youth to concentrate on science and technology.

He said, ” now the world is all about science, technology and innovation, it is good that the government of Ghana is putting much effort in the science, technology, engineering and mathematical studies in the University courses to improve digitization program.

He added that, there are some vacancies which need to be occupied but there are no qualified applicants, such vacancies are computer scientist, computer engineers, software engineers, I.T specialist.

Obrempong Prof Kyem – Amponsah Chief of Fiapre who also double as the Vice- Chancellor of the Ghana Communications Technology University (GCTU), disclosed this at the launch of “Science and Maths Quiz, 2021” organised by the Fiapre Traditional Council to enable students learn more about science and technology.

Nana advised the youth to concentrate on Technology so that after their courses in the University level they can set up their own consultancy firms to create employment for themselves and emloy others as well instead of waiting for for the Government to get them jobs.

Also Hon. Martin Obeng acting MCE for Sunyani West Municipality entreated the teachers to put their efforts to teach the students and know much about Technology, the Assembly is ready to help them with materials.
