The Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) has attributed Monday night’s power outage in some parts of the Greater Accra Region to a shortage in gas supply. According to a statement issued by GRIDCo, “a reported leakage by Ghana Gas on its processing plant at Takoradi, curtailed gas supply to a number of thermal generating plants in the country”, thus, causing some of its customers to sleep in darkness. COVID-9 frontline health workers at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital (CCTH) in the Central Region, have threatened to withdraw their services if the government does not pay them their share of the allowances promised them. A retired teacher, Mr Emmanuel Abrokwa, popularly known as Teacher Mensah Monday morning killed himself at Ekumfi Aburam in the Ekumfi District of the Central Region. It was revealed that the teacher shot himself to death after he returned from the bush. According to an eyewitness, he saw the deceased returning from the farm, and later heard gunshots from the room of the deceased.
