The Bono Regional Minister Justina Owusu-Banahene has called on the youth to embrace government programmes aimed at empowering them through wealth creation by engaging in productive economic sectors.
Speaking at a Youth Dialogue organised in Sunyani by Springboard Road Show for the youth in the middle zone on Monday she said, government had registered tremendous achievements in the economic, social and political spheres and urged the youth to take advantage of the various programmes including the Youth in Agriculture, NEIP, Rural Enterprise Programme, Green Business Initiative, Incubation and Support Program, Nabco among others.
Present at the function were the Minister of Finance Mr Ken Ofori Atta, CEO NEIP, In Charge of OBAATANPA project among other high ranking officials.
According to the Bono Regional Minister, government will speed up the implementation of its proposed Jobs and Skills Program to promote skill development and offer job opportunities to the youth across the country.
Justina Owusu-Banahene admonished the youth to embrace Springboard’s programme because it’s providing coordinated and comprehensive preemployment support services covering job creation, coaching and mentoring training, as well as honing soft skills and work ethic which are key to making young people competitive for the fast-changing world of work.
The Springboard Road Show Youth Dialogue was on the theme “Repositioning – Bouncing Back from Covid-19 and Finding Opportunities.
The Springboard Road Show brings together accomplished and seasoned Ghanaians to inspire the youth to take advantage of the various opportunities at their disposal to be financially independent and also to contribute their quota to the development of the country.
