The Kwabre East Municipal Security Council in the Ashanti Region has commenced investigations into a communal clash between two youth groups at Ntonso. Some youth were on a rampage in the area as they attacked anyone on their way and vandalized some property. Schools were forced to close in the early hours of Monday because of the tensions. Fire has gutted a three-storey building at Makola in the central business district of Accra. The building is made of shops occupied by traders who deal in hair and cosmetic products. Some 134 students and a staff of Achimota School have tested positive for Covid-19, with most cases said to be the new Delta Variant. According to the Director-General of the Ghana Health Service (GHS), Dr Patrick Kuma Aboagye, the first three cases were detected in some students between June 14 and 16 this year. The decapitated body of an adult male has been found at Feyiase in the Bosomtwe District of the Ashanti Region. A search party of the police and community members led to the retrieval of the head about 20 metres away from the location of the body. The circumstances leading to his death are not known.
