President John Dramani Mahama is scheduled to receive the official Bawku Mediation Report on Thursday, December 11, 2025, during a ceremony at the Jubilee House in Accra.
The report marks a key milestone in efforts to restore lasting peace and stability in Bawku and its surrounding communities.
The mediation process was led by the Asantehene, His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, who has been at the forefront of national reconciliation initiatives aimed at resolving long-standing tensions in the area.
The event is expected to underscore the joint commitment of state institutions, traditional authorities, religious organizations, and development partners to fostering social cohesion in the region.
The ceremony, set to begin at 10:00 a.m., will bring together senior government officials, traditional leaders, the mediation team, and invited dignitaries.
Key participants include representatives from the National Peace Council, Christian Council, Office of the National Chief Imam, Catholic Secretariat, UNDP, British High Commission, as well as regional authorities such as the Ministers for Upper East and North East, and members of the Upper East Regional House of Chiefs and National Security.
