The campaign team of Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong has issued a stern warning to the camp of Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, cautioning against what it describes as “reckless personal attacks” by his loyalists.
In a strongly worded statement dated Thursday, October 2, 2025, and signed by Communications Director Kwaku Amoh-Darteh, the Agyapong campaign condemned a widely circulated video in which Kwaku Osei Korankye Asiedu, popularly known as “KOKA” and identified as a staunch supporter of Dr. Bawumia, allegedly launched “vicious and unprovoked attacks” on Ken Agyapong.
The statement accused Dr. Bawumia and his inner circle of hypocrisy, claiming they benefit from intimidation, bullying, and abusive rhetoric while presenting the Vice President as a “peaceful person.” It argued that their silence in the face of such conduct amounts to an endorsement.
“Let there be no ambiguity: the Ken Ohene Agyapong Camp knows too much to allow reckless defamation to go unanswered,” the release read. It further warned that if Bawumia’s camp fails to rein in its surrogates, “they will awaken consequences they will come to regret.”
While emphasizing its commitment to peace and unity within the New Patriotic Party (NPP), the campaign stressed that “peace must not be mistaken for weakness, and unity must not be confused with cowardice.”
The release concludes by affirming Agyapong’s commitment to defending truth, integrity, and grassroots interests, vowing not to allow personal vilification to derail his campaign.
