National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketiah has warned that the recent arrests of individuals accused of corruption and embezzlement are only the beginning of a wider crackdown on misuse of public funds.
Speaking during the second phase of his Thank You Tour in the Atewa East Constituency on Thursday, September 25, he revealed that several former government officials will soon face arrest for allegedly misappropriating state resources.
“As for the arrests, we have only just begun — we haven’t gotten far yet,” he declared, stressing that anyone who exploited the nation’s wealth must be brought to justice.
Mr. Nketiah called on traditional leaders, clergy, and Muslim authorities to back the government’s renewed anti-corruption campaign, which he said is essential to restoring public confidence and safeguarding Ghana’s future. “We believe this effort will help heal Ghana and preserve what has been damaged, ensuring the nation remains strong,” he added.
