President John Mahama’s post-election honeymoon appears to be fading, with his job performance ratings experiencing a decline, according to a new survey by Global InfoAnalytics.
The poll shows the President’s approval rating fell from 73% in July to 67% in September, a six-point drop. While he continues to command support from over two-thirds of voters, analysts suggest the dip signals rising public scrutiny of his leadership.
Key findings include:
- 67% approve of Mahama’s performance.
- 22% disapprove of his leadership.
- 11% remain undecided.
- This gives the President a net approval rating of +45%.
Despite the decline, the survey highlights a notable achievement: for the first time, every region of Ghana currently approves of the President’s job performance, signaling a rare moment of national consensus.
Political analysts, however, caution that sustaining such approval may prove difficult as policy pledges are tested against the realities of governance.
