TotalEnergies Aviation has announced an indefinite suspension of its refuelling operations at Kotoka International Airport (KIA) due to ongoing supply challenges.
The suspension, which takes effect immediately, affects all ad-hoc and spot flight refuelling requests. The company also indicated that the decision will impact current fuel orders, raising concerns about possible disruptions to airline schedules.
So far, KIA management has not issued an official response or provided any contingency plan to address the looming aviation fuel shortage.
Airlines flying into KIA are being urged to arrange alternative refuelling options with other service providers, as Ghana faces a potential shortfall in aviation kerosene.
