Dennis Miracles Aboagye, has issued a stern warning to any ‘macho man’ from the NDC who challenges him in Akwatia.
His statement follows recent violent incidents during the Ablekuma North rerun election.
In a recent interview, the former presidential staffer declared he is fully ready for conflict in Akwatia.
He explained that after the passing of Akwatia MP Ernest Kumi, a by-election will be held to fill the vacant seat.
Citing Article 112, Clause 5 of the 1992 Constitution, he noted: “Whenever a parliamentary seat becomes vacant, the Clerk of Parliament must notify the Electoral Commission within seven days, and a by-election must be held within 30 days — except when the vacancy is due to death, in which case the by-election must occur within 60 days.”
As preparations for the Akwatia by-election advance, Miracles Aboagye said he is prepared for possible violence and warned that any NDC member or ‘macho man’ who provokes him will be met with physical retaliation.
