President John Dramani Mahama has submitted the final list of Deputy Ministerial nominees to Parliament for approval, in accordance with Articles 78(1) and 79(1) of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana.
In a statement issued by the Minister for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the President’s nominations are expected to enhance the efficiency of government operations and policy implementation across key ministries.
The latest nominees include:
- Dorcas Toffey, MP – Deputy Minister for Transport
- James G. Quayson, MP – Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs
- Mohammed Adam Sukparu, MP – Deputy Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations
- Grace Ayensu-Danquah, MP – Deputy Minister for Health
These appointments form the final batch of deputy ministerial nominations under President Mahama’s second administration, aimed at deepening governance and delivering on the NDC’s campaign promises.
The names have been forwarded to Parliament through the Speaker for prior vetting and approval, in line with constitutional provisions.
The President’s office reiterated his commitment to a balanced and inclusive government, calling on Parliament to expedite the approval process to ensure a seamless rollout of government programs.
