The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the disbursement of a total of GHS8,989,866.00 as a feeding grant for Special Needs Schools across the country.
The announcement, made in a statement signed by GES Public Relations Officer Daniel Fenyii on Wednesday, June 25, underscores the government’s commitment to inclusive education.
According to the GES, the grant is intended to support the feeding of all students in Special Needs institutions nationwide.
The Service commended the government for prioritizing the well-being of learners with special needs and highlighted that the funding demonstrates continued efforts to ensure equal access to quality education for all.
GES also extended its gratitude to the heads, staff, and students of Special Schools for their patience and dedication throughout the grant disbursement period.
The statement reaffirmed GES’s dedication to working with stakeholders to promote inclusive education for every learner, regardless of disability.
