According to a report by Masemtvgh, a 25-year-old police officer, Constable Godfred Dapaah—affectionately called “Toner”—has tragically died after being struck by lightning during a phone call with his girlfriend in Cape Coast.
The heartbreaking incident happened during a heavy downpour, with eyewitnesses saying he remained on the call despite the worsening weather until the fatal strike. Efforts to save him sadly failed.
Constable Dapaah was known for his commitment to duty and warm personality. May he rest in peace.
