In a series of key national security appointments announced by President Mahama on January 15, 2025, retired Commissioner of Police (COP) Nathan Kofi Boakye has been appointed as the Director of Operations at the Presidency. COP Boakye (Rtd.) is renowned for his distinguished career in law enforcement and his expertise in security operations. His extensive experience in managing complex security challenges makes him a valuable addition to the President’s security team.
