The Regional Women’s Organizer for the opposition National Democratic Congress, the NDC, in the Bono has added her voice in eulogizing the late former President of Ghana, Prof. John Evans Atta Mills.
Hajia Fati Abubakar, at the Regional commemorative lecture in Sunyani on Saturday, 1st July, 2023, recounted some memories of the former late President.
In an interview with Masemtvgh, the Bono Regional Women’s Organizer, who could not hide her love for the late former president described him as ”asomdwe hene”.
”I remember late former President Mills for his asomdwe hene title and how he often appealed to everyone to let peace reign in Ghana.
”Prof. Mills in every statement reiterated his words ”amedzi me pɛ asomdwe (I am for peace) which was later became his name” she added.
To Hajia Fati Abubakar, it was a necessary joy for the women’s wing to participate in the commemorative regional lecture to join other dignitaries to celebrate and mark the 10th anniversary of the late former President, John Evans Atta Mills.
The Bono Regional Women’s Organizer further promised to work together with her wing to ensure that the NDC wins the 2024 general elections.
”Just as how we worked tirelessly at Assin North to retain that parliamentary seat, our wing will never relent on our effort to replicate and even work harder to ensure that the NDC wins the upcoming 2024 general elections”.
