Henry Osei Akoto, a candidate for National Organizer in the recently concluded NDC national elections, has made fun of former trade minister Alan Kyerematen.
The New Patriotic Party’s alleged flagbearer candidate is not a viable alternative for the nation in the impending 2024 elections, according to the NDC veteran.
In a tweet, Mr. Osei Akoto said that the now-resigned trade minister had failed in the same way that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, his rival and vice president, who is also thought to be running for president, had.
The 2020 NDC parliamentary candidate for Oforikrom gave the failure of the NDC heritage Komenda sugar factory to operate under the supervision of Mr. Alan Kyerematen, also known as “Alan Cash,” as one of the reasons for the assertion.
Mr. Osei Akoto claimed in a panel debate on CTV Ghana in 2022 that the facility had not been operationalized because some influential individuals in the nation preferred to import sugar to gain money for themselves.
Another reminder that Alan has failed just like Bawumia. None of them is an option! https://t.co/TbexzdTCbn

The factory was supposed to be operational by the end of 2022, as the government pledged in September 2022, but that hasn’t happened.
Therefore, Henry Osei Akoto has warned Ghanaians not to believe Alan Cash is a viable alternative for saving Ghana in 2024.
The commerce minister has reportedly left the Akufo-Addo administration, according to news reports that have been seeping in this morning.
masem News sources claim that Mr. Kyerematen handed in his letter of resignation to the president yesterday.
It’s unclear whether the action is intended to get him ready for the NPP flagbearer race before 2024.
