The National Democratic Congress have given notice of observing the three year bloodshed incident at the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency.
The electorates of Ayawaso West Wuogon on January 31, 2019 went for a by election after the sudden death of their sitting Member of Parliament, Hon Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko on 21 November 2018.
There were a lot of reports with video evidences showing how masked security personnel were seen brutalising electorates at some of the polling stations.
One of such polling stations was the Bawalashie polling station where there were indiscriminate shooting of guns at people.
The opposition National Democratic Congress subsequently came out with a statement boycotting the by election few minutes into the voting exercise after these series of attack on the supporters of the NDC and their executives.
It will be recalled that, a Commission of Inquiry, chaired by Emily Short was tasked to delve into the incident and come out with recommendations.

THE COMMEMORATION OF THE 3RD AYAWASO WEST WOUGON ELECTORAL BLOODSHED TO BE MARKED IN FADAMA, OPPOSITE THE NATIONAL CHIEF IMAM’S RESIDENCE.
Monday the 31st of January will mark the 3rd year of an unprecedented violence in the history of elections in Ghana.
This years commemoration is dedicated to the victims of the violence, hence the commemoration at Fadama in the okaikoi Central constituency where their volunteers were hardly hit.
Speakers at the event are, the National chairman Hon Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, the General secretary Hon Johnson Asiedu Nketia, president of the professional Forum, Ambassador Sam Pee Yalley, managing Editor of the Insight newspaper Comrade Kwasi Pratt Jnr and the member of Parliament for the Ningo Pampram constituency Hon Sam Dzata George Nartey.
