Prof. Samuel Issah Donates Patrol Motorbike to Enhance Security at College of Languages Education, Ajumako

In a decisive move to strengthen campus safety, Prof. Samuel Alhassan Mbangba Issah, Dean of the Faculty of Ghanaian Languages Education, has donated a patrol motorbike to the Security Section of the College of Languages Education, Ajumako, University of Education, Winneba. The presentation took place on Thursday, 15th January 2026.

The donation addresses longstanding mobility challenges faced by campus security personnel, particularly in conducting patrols, monitoring, and responding to emergencies. With the new motorbike, security staff can now carry out extended patrols, respond more quickly to incidents, and monitor sensitive areas more effectively. The mobile unit also serves as a deterrent to potential threats, promoting a safer environment for students, staff, and visitors.

“This timely intervention reflects a deep understanding that security is a shared responsibility. Proactive investment in safety infrastructure safeguards the University and its community,” said Prof. Issah, emphasizing the importance of decisive and responsive leadership.

The Security Section expressed profound appreciation to Prof. Issah, his friend Mr. Stephen Zoure, and the Friends of Prof. Samuel Alhassan M. Issah for their support. Principal Security Officer Ebenezer Amoah assured College Management that the motorbike will be maintained regularly and used solely for security operations.

The handover was attended by senior College officials, including Prof. Mrs. Rebecca Akpanglo Nartey (Principal), Mr. Alexander W. Essah (Registrar), Prof. Kwesi Adomako (Vice Dean), Mr. Francis Andoh-Mensah (College Librarian), Mr. John Afriyie (Works & Physical Development), and several department heads. Prof. Adomako also pledged to provide fuel for the motorbike for the next three months.

Through initiatives like this, the College continues to build a resilient and secure academic community, upholding the University of Education, Winneba’s guiding principle of Education for Service.
