Bono NDC Executives Call for Timely Appointments Across Key Government Agencies

Executives of the NDC in the Bono Region have expressed growing frustration over delays in the appointment of district-level heads across several government institutions, describing the situation as long overdue and discouraging.

The concerns were raised during a visit by the Bono Regional First Vice Chairman, Hon. Ibrahim Ali Adjei, where party executives noted that the issue goes beyond the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) and affects other key portfolios and agencies at the district level. According to them, the prolonged delay is weakening accountability and creating gaps in effective supervision and service delivery.

They argued that refreshing leadership in these institutions is critical to improving transparency, curbing corruption, and restoring public confidence in government operations. Executives stressed that timely appointments would help ensure that government policies are properly implemented at the grassroots level.

The executives also emphasized the political dimension of the delay, noting that many loyal party members who worked tirelessly to return the NDC to government are still waiting to be recognized. They called for qualified party faithful to be considered for these positions as a way of rewarding commitment, boosting morale, and strengthening the party’s grassroots structures.

In response, Hon. Ibrahim Ali Adjei acknowledged the concerns raised and assured the executives that their views would be conveyed to the appropriate leadership. He encouraged party members to remain patient and united, emphasizing that the party values their sacrifices and remains committed to fairness, accountability, and effective governance.

The interaction ended with a strong appeal for swift action, as executives expressed hope that the necessary appointments across all affected portfolios would be made in the interest of good governance, party unity, and improved service delivery to the people.
