The Director-General of the National Signals Bureau, Dr. George Atta-Boateng, has stressed that professionalism, discipline and integrity will determine the effectiveness of the Bureau’s newly commissioned Bono Regional Command.
Addressing officers and stakeholders at the commissioning ceremony in Sunyani, Dr. Atta-Boateng said the facility is the third of four regional intelligence hubs scheduled for completion this year, reflecting government’s commitment to strengthening Ghana’s national security infrastructure.
He explained that the command is equipped to enhance intelligence collection, analysis and inter-agency coordination, while supporting the protection of critical national infrastructure and the secure handling of classified operations.
Dr. Atta-Boateng emphasised that as security threats become increasingly complex and digitally driven, the NSB must remain proactive while respecting the rights and freedoms of citizens. He urged officers to work closely with other security agencies and local communities, describing the Bureau’s mission as service to the nation in the supreme interest of peace, sovereignty and democratic stability.
