A new survey by Global InfoAnalytics ahead of the Kpandai parliamentary rerun shows the New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate, Matthew Nyindam, holding a narrow lead with 50% voter support.
The poll, released on Sunday, December 14, 2025, places National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate Daniel Nsala Wakpal close behind with 46%, underscoring a tightly contested race.
According to the survey, independent candidate Donkor Eric Nipani is projected to secure about 1% of the vote, while 3% of respondents remain undecided.
Global InfoAnalytics notes that Nyindam’s lead falls within a ±3.9% margin of error, suggesting limited voter movement and a highly competitive contest.
The poll also indicates minor voter shifts between the two leading candidates, with about 2% of Nyindam’s previous supporters switching to Wakpal, while an equal proportion of Wakpal’s supporters have moved in the opposite direction.
However, Nyindam appears to have benefited significantly from the independent candidate’s base, with 28% of Donkor Eric Nipani’s former supporters now backing the NPP candidate, contributing to his slim advantage.
The findings suggest that while Matthew Nyindam currently holds a slight edge, voter turnout and effective mobilisation will be decisive factors as the rerun approaches on December 30, 2025.
