Hajia Zuwera Supports Bereaved Family, Inspects Key Projects Ahead of Funeral in Salaga-South

The Member of Parliament for Salaga-South, Hon. Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, has extended her support to the family of Dr. Callistus as preparations advance for the funeral rites of his late mother, Madam Salomey Ama Mahama.

Earlier this morning, the MP visited the family residence of Dr. Callistus, where she, together with the constituency chairman, presented food items, mineral water, assorted drinks, and a bull, donated on behalf of Alhaji Azorka. She also offered her condolences and assured the family of her continuous support.

Hon. Hajia Zuwera later proceeded to Dr. Callistus’s private residence in Salaga, where she again expressed her sympathies and encouraged him as he received dignitaries ahead of the funeral scheduled for tomorrow.

While on her way to the funeral grounds, the MP made a brief stop to interact with YEA recruits participating in a clean-up exercise along the principal streets of Salaga. She commended them for their volunteerism and urged them to maintain their commitment toward the successful organisation of the upcoming ceremony.

At the Salaga Astro Turf, Hon. Hajia Zuwera inspected the progress of preparations for the funeral. She observed that arrangements were progressing steadily in anticipation of tomorrow’s event.

The MP also visited the Kiote Nkwanta–Kiote Road, which is currently being rehabilitated through her initiative. She expressed satisfaction with the work done so far and praised the National DRIP Coordinator, Hon. Nii Lante Vanderpuye, for training machine operators and providing technical support for the DRIP equipment. She further commended the District DRIP Coordinator, Mr. Nafiu Mustapha, and his team for their dedicated service to the municipality.

Hon. Hajia Zuwera revealed that she had personally pre-financed the rehabilitation of the Salaga–Kafaba Road and would soon submit a claim to her share of the MP’s Common Fund. This, she explained, would allow her to channel more resources into additional road projects across the constituency. She further disclosed plans to rehabilitate the Ngua Mallam–Kulpi Road, with intentions to extend similar interventions to other communities subject to available funding.

Later in the afternoon, the MP returned to the family residence of Dr. Callistus to join in receiving the Chief Justice of Ghana, His Lordship Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie, who had travelled to Salaga to commiserate with the family.
