Salaga-South MP Supports Scholarship Beneficiary Traveling to China for Medical Studies

The Member of Parliament for Salaga-South has extended financial support to Miss Hadijatu Ekunatu Gyeta Basiru, a beneficiary of the Yagbon Wura Bii Kunuto Jewu Soale I Scholarship Programme, as she begins her medical studies in China.

The MP covered Miss Basiru’s flight ticket from Ghana to China at the cost of GH₵13,000. The ticket was presented on his behalf by Mr. Hamid Kanyiti Salifu and Mr. Saaka Sulemana. The MP further provided an additional $300 as a support package to aid her upkeep upon arrival.

Presenting the support, Mr. Hamid Kanyiti encouraged Miss Basiru to remain focused on her goals, reminding her that she is an ambassador for both the constituency and her colleagues. He urged her to work hard and return home as a qualified medical doctor to contribute to Ghana’s health sector.

Miss Basiru has gained admission to pursue Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in China.

Expressing gratitude on behalf of the family, Mr. Mohammed Awal Seidu thanked the MP for his continuous dedication to educational advancement in the constituency, describing the gesture as timely and impactful.
