Founder of Glorious Word Power Ministry International, Apostle Isaac Owusu-Bempah, has launched a scathing attack on the former New Patriotic Party (NPP) government led by ex-President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, accusing them of deceiving him with false promises.
Addressing his congregation on Sunday, October 19, 2025, the outspoken preacher claimed that members of the previous administration made several promises to him in exchange for his support during their quest for power, but failed to fulfill them after assuming office.
“Sometime ago, we worked in vain. We fasted and prayed for nothing because they failed to keep their promises. That’s why we had to send them home,” he lamented, warning that divine punishment awaits those who betray their commitments.
Owusu-Bempah, speaking in Twi, expressed disappointment that his efforts had gone unrewarded, saying, “When you labour, you must enjoy the fruits of your work. If you promise and fail, the God of David will judge you.”
He further warned that he would no longer support any political group that uses deceit, declaring, “This time, we will not suffer for nothing. If you joke, we will push your car into a ditch.”
Contrasting his experience with the current government, he praised the John Dramani Mahama-led administration and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for being trustworthy and fulfilling their pledges.
“These people are wise; they honour their promises. They are not like others who even turn around to lock you up,” he added.
