The Member of Parliament for Old Tafo, Hon. Vincent Ekow Assafuah, has called on members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to remain united and strategic as the party prepares for the 2028 general elections.
Addressing party supporters, Hon. Assafuah emphasized that the NPP must not take the upcoming elections for granted, stressing that disunity and complacency could cost the party dearly. He urged members to put aside internal differences and focus on a common goal — returning the party to power in 2028.
“We must endeavor to win the 2028 elections, or else we are going to have H. E. Asiedu Nketiah,” he cautioned, warning of the implications of an NPP defeat.
The MP underscored the growing influence of digital platforms in modern politics, encouraging the party’s youth and communicators to make effective use of social media to project the NPP’s achievements, policies, and vision to the Ghanaian public.
According to him, social media has become a key battleground for political engagement, and the NPP must leverage it to connect with voters, particularly the younger generation, who will play a decisive role in 2028.
Hon. Assafuah reaffirmed his confidence in the NPP’s ability to reclaim victory if members stay disciplined, focused, and united behind a common message.
He concluded by calling on all party loyalists to work collectively, saying, “We cannot afford to be divided. The future of our great party depends on our unity and commitment to victory in 2028.”
