Stay Calm, Leadership Addressing Job and Internal Concerns – Mustapha Gbande to NDC

The Deputy General Secretary (Operations) of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mustapha Gbande, has called for calm among party members and supporters as leadership works to address concerns relating to employment opportunities and internal party cohesion.

His appeal comes amid rising frustration from some NDC supporters and members of the public who remain unemployed since the Mahama administration assumed office.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, October 14, Mr. Gbande acknowledged the growing unease among sections of the party, stressing that the NDC leadership values and understands the concerns “in whatever form they come” from both members and non-members.

“We only ask that you grant us the space and time to find lasting solutions, even if gradually. Our government continues to make steady progress, regardless of the challenges,” he stated.

Mr. Gbande reaffirmed the party’s commitment to the welfare of its grassroots base and to delivering on the promises made to Ghanaians, noting that leadership is working tirelessly to resolve the issues at hand.

He also advised party communicators and members to be measured in their public commentary, assuring them that their grievances have been noted and are being addressed.

“Let us therefore remain calm and united. On behalf of H.E. President John Dramani Mahama and the leadership of our great party, we stand fully with you. Remember, patience and resilience always triumph in the end,” he added.

The NDC Deputy General Secretary’s remarks come as part of broader efforts by the party to manage expectations and maintain unity within its ranks amid ongoing discussions about job creation, appointments, and government performance.
