New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential aspirant, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has declared that he will not accept defeat in any election unless the Electoral Commission (EC) officially announces the final results.
Speaking to party supporters during his campaign tour of the Savannah Region, Agyapong reaffirmed his determination to remain resolute during electoral contests, cautioning against premature acceptance of defeat based on unofficial projections.
“Until the last constituency is counted, if I am a presidential candidate, I will never accept defeat,” he stated. “I will not concede until the Electoral Commissioner officially declares the results. I will never accept defeat.”
He urged party members and political stakeholders to show courage and resilience in their political engagements.
“We need bold men in this fight. It shouldn’t be that the moment something is said, you run away,” he added.
Agyapong’s remarks come as the NPP readies itself for its presidential primaries on January 31, 2026, ahead of the 2028 general elections. The outspoken Assin Central MP remains one of the key contenders seeking to lead the ruling party into the next electoral battle.
