The Member of Parliament for Jirapa, Hon. Clitus Seidu Dapila, has been officially sworn into office as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCo).
In a statement following the ceremony, Hon. Dapila described the appointment as both an honour and a privilege, expressing his commitment to work with his colleagues on the Board to advance NEDCo’s mandate of delivering affordable, reliable, and accessible electricity to customers across the northern part of Ghana.
“With a clear mandate to distribute affordable, reliable and accessible electricity to its customers, my colleagues and I are determined to provide the much-needed advice, support and strategic guidance anchored on the Reset Agenda and vision of H.E. President John Dramani Mahama, ably supported by the sector Minister, Hon. John Abdulai Jinapor,” he stated.
Hon. Dapila also extended his gratitude to all stakeholders who entrusted him and the new board with the responsibility to contribute to the government’s Reset Agenda under President Mahama.
He assured that the new Board, under his leadership, will work closely with management to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen stakeholder confidence, and make NEDCo “better-off” in service delivery.
“Indeed, the reset is in sight!” he concluded.
