The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced the cancellation of all online registrations completed in June 2025, following revelations from a Technical and Forensic Audit that found major flaws in the previous Central Service Management Platform (CSMP). A new and improved online registration system is set to open from Wednesday, October 8, 2025, to Wednesday, October 15, 2025, for the 2025/2026 service year.
According to the Authority, the decision was taken under the directive of President John Dramani Mahama, who instructed that the CSMP be overhauled to ensure transparency, data accuracy, and better digital security. The NSA disclosed that the earlier platform was found to have data integrity issues, including instances of age discrepancies, duplicate entries, and fraudulent submissions.
“All previous registrations from June 2025 have been declared null and void. Every prospective service personnel must re-register on the new platform,” the statement emphasized.
The NSA assured that legitimate applicants who paid registration fees during the June exercise would receive full refunds, adding that new payment verification processes have been built into the updated system to prevent similar lapses.
The Authority further announced that step-by-step registration guidelines will be published on its newly developed website — www.gnsa.gov.gh — starting Tuesday, October 7, 2025. The new digital platform, it explained, comes with enhanced cybersecurity features, real-time verification of academic credentials, and automated matching of service personnel to institutions based on skills and specialization.
Additionally, the NSA revealed the rollout of stringent IT and administrative reforms designed to eliminate payroll fraud, ghost postings, and undue delays in allowance disbursements. The Authority is working closely with the Controller and Accountant General’s Department (CAGD) to integrate the national service payroll into the government’s central payment architecture.
To further strengthen transparency, the NSA said it will conduct periodic efficiency audits and launch a real-time tracking dashboard that allows both personnel and supervisors to monitor attendance, performance, and allowance status.
All service personnel, once duly registered and posted, are expected to report to their assigned service institutions on Saturday, November 1, 2025, with the official service year commencing on Monday, November 3, 2025.
The Authority concluded by urging all prospective personnel to adhere strictly to the registration timelines and rely only on official communication channels to avoid misinformation and fraud.
