The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has referred several petitions against its Deputy Communications Director, Ernest Owusu Bempah, to the party’s National Council for consideration.
In a statement dated Wednesday, September 24, 2025, and signed by General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong, the party expressed “grave concern” over Mr. Bempah’s conduct, which has prompted formal complaints from within the party.
Mr. Kodua confirmed that the party headquarters had received petitions demanding Bempah’s removal. However, because his appointment was recommended by the National Executive Committee and approved by the National Council, the matter has been directed to the Council for review and a final decision.
“The Party remains firmly committed to discipline, transparency, and the protection of its core values. All concerns will be addressed fairly and responsibly,” the statement assured.
