The Ghana Education Service (GES) has dismissed as fake a letter circulating on social media claiming that financial clearance has been granted for the recruitment of 50,000 teaching and non-teaching staff.
In a statement dated Sunday, September 21, 2025, and signed by Daniel Fenny, Head of Public Relations, the Service made it clear that “the letter is FAKE and did not originate from GES.”
“No such recruitment exercise has been announced yet,” the statement stressed, urging the public to ignore the document and avoid falling victim to fraudsters.
GES further explained that any genuine recruitment announcement will be made only through its official platforms and those of the Ministry of Education.
The Service also encouraged the public to report any fraudulent activities linked to the fake letter to the appropriate authorities.
