The Member of Parliament (MP) for Salaga-South, Hon. Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, has once again demonstrated her unwavering commitment to her constituents with a significant donation to support this year’s Damba Festival celebrated by the people of Kulaw.
The Damba Festival, which marks the birthday of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW), is a cherished cultural and religious event that unites the people of Kulaw in faith, reflection, and communal pride.

Delivering the MP’s message, Hon. Kassim Yazid Rabiu assured the gathering that her absence did not diminish her love and commitment to their welfare.
“Hon. Zuwera would have loved to join you today, but her work in Rwanda is part of her greater commitment to the people of Salaga-South. This donation is just a small token of her continued support for you,” he said, encouraging the community to maintain peace, unity, and development.
The Kulaw Wura, visibly moved by the gesture, expressed deep appreciation to the MP for her consistent support and dedication. In a symbolic show of gratitude, the traditional leader presented the MP’s representatives with a bull and several tubers of yam—gifts signifying respect, honor, and unity in local tradition.
This year’s festival drew indigenes and visitors from across Ghana to Kiyange, creating a vibrant atmosphere of music, dance, and cultural displays. Beyond its religious significance, the Damba Festival continues to strengthen community bonds and highlight the values of charity, togetherness, and mutual respect.
