The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC), working with a joint security task force, has arrested the owner of Suad Collections, a popular boutique in Tamale, for allegedly dealing in narcotics.
During the operation in the Northern Regional capital, officers reportedly discovered 2,250 wraps of a substance suspected to be cannabis along with quantities of opioids.
NACOC said the arrest is part of intensified efforts to curb the illegal drug trade in the region. The suspect is currently in custody assisting investigations, while the seized substances have been forwarded for forensic analysis.
Authorities have assured the public of their continued commitment to clamping down on drug trafficking and related crimes nationwide.
