The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) has launched a high-impact operation targeting narcotics hotspots in Accra, swooping on suspected drug dens in Ogbojo and Madina. The coordinated raids, carried out with tactical precision, form part of intensified efforts to clamp down on drug trafficking and abuse in urban communities.
As part of the operation, NACOC also closed down the Viviz Cottage Eatery & Bar located at Ridge, near the DHL office. Intelligence reports had linked the establishment to suspected drug-related activities, prompting authorities to act swiftly to dismantle the network and prevent further operations.
Nine suspects were arrested during the swoops and are currently assisting in investigations. NACOC has assured the public that these actions mark the beginning of sustained enforcement against drug-related activities, urging citizens to remain vigilant and report suspicious behavior to help safeguard communities.
