The Department of Urban Roads in the Ashanti Region has announced the temporary closure of a section of the Sofoline Interchange to facilitate urgent maintenance works.
In a notice issued on Wednesday, August 27, the Department stated that the ramp linking the Sofoline Terminal to the Santasi Roundabout and Patasi will be closed to traffic from Wednesday, September 3, to Friday, September 19, 2025.
According to the Department, the closure is necessary to allow engineers to repair the expansion joint of the approach slab.
Motorists traveling toward Patasi, the Santasi Roundabout, and adjoining areas are advised to use alternative routes and comply with directional signs placed at the interchange.
The Department also urged all road users to adhere to the traffic management measures put in place to ensure safety and minimize congestion during the period of repair.
“We sincerely apologise for any inconveniences caused,” the notice signed by Surv. Na-em Iddrisu, Regional Director of Urban Roads, read.
