Marcus Mosiah Garvey Foundation to Host Gala in Ghana Honoring Pan-African Legacy

The Marcus Mosiah Garvey Foundation (MMG Foundation) has announced the 2025 Marcus Garvey Fundraising Gala, a cultural and philanthropic event celebrating the legacy of Pan-African leader Marcus Mosiah Garvey.

The gala will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park in Accra, Ghana. Exhibitions will begin at 12:00 PM, with the gala running from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

The event will unite leaders, artists, activists, and community members from the African Diaspora to celebrate Garvey’s principles through music, art, education, and philanthropy.

According to Naomi Palmer Buchanan, CEO of the MMG Foundation, the gala is a “cultural experience rooted in legacy and future-building”. She invites the global community to join the event in Accra to “honor Garvey’s work and invest in the generations to come”.
