GFZA Participates in National Agribusiness Dialogue to Champion Export-Led Growth Under 24-Hour Economy Policy

The Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA) joined over 300 stakeholders from across the public and private sectors at the National Agribusiness Dialogue held at the Kempinski Hotel, Accra. The event was convened to explore strategic pathways for aligning Ghana’s agribusiness sector with the government’s flagship 24-Hour Economy Policy.

Representing the Authority at the high-level forum, a GFZA official highlighted the Authority’s commitment to facilitating agribusiness-driven export growth and creating opportunities across the agricultural value chain.

The Dialogue was graced by His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama, whose participation underscored the critical role of agriculture in Ghana’s long-term development. Also in attendance were key government ministers, including the Minister for Trade, Agribusiness & Industry, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, along with leaders from financial institutions, development agencies, and farmer organizations.

The discussions centered on how agribusinesses can function more efficiently under a 24-hour operational framework—boosting value addition, increasing exports, and unlocking employment across the country.

GFZA also participated in the event’s exhibition segment, showcasing the range of incentives and enclave facilities available to agribusiness firms under the Free Zones Scheme. The Authority had the honour of welcoming the President to its booth and engaging him on how Free Zones infrastructure and policy tools are helping to drive Ghana’s agribusiness export agenda.

The Dialogue marked a major step in building partnerships and aligning policy to transform agriculture into a catalyst for inclusive, round-the-clock economic growth.
