Ghana and the Kingdom of Eswatini have reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing inter-parliamentary cooperation following an official visit by Eswatini’s Speaker of the House of Assembly, Jabulani Mabuza, to Ghana’s Parliament on Monday, June 23, 2025.
Speaker of Ghana’s Parliament, Alban Bagbin, shared highlights of the meeting in a Facebook post on June 24, describing the visit as a valuable opportunity to strengthen legislative collaboration between the two countries.
“On Monday, June 23, I had the honour of hosting Hon. Jabulani Mabuza and his delegation from Eswatini’s House of Assembly during their visit aimed at fostering inter-parliamentary relations,” Bagbin stated.
He underscored the importance of unity and cooperation among African legislatures in amplifying the continent’s voice on the global stage.
Bagbin acknowledged the political and cultural differences between the two nations but emphasized their shared African identity and mutual aspirations.
“Despite our differences, Ghana and Eswatini are united by a common African heritage and the shared responsibility to elevate Africa’s voice in global discourse,” he noted.
He further stressed that parliaments play a crucial role in promoting accountability, protecting national interests, and serving the public—tasks that are best achieved through constructive dialogue and collaboration.
