“Step Up Your Facts Game”: Dennis Miracles Aboagye Claps Back at Kwasi Kwarteng Over PR Loyalty and 2024 Defeat

In a fiery social media exchange that has gripped political observers, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, a key member of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign team, has responded strongly to remarks made by Kwasi Kwarteng accusing him of leading the Vice President into what he called “the most humiliating political defeat” in Ghana’s Fourth Republic.

Kwasi Kwarteng’s original post, which criticized the Bawumia campaign’s public relations strategy and claimed personal credit for “discrediting” the widely discussed claim of support from 67 MPs, did not go unanswered.

In a pointed rebuttal posted shortly after, Aboagye defended his loyalty and leadership during the 2024 general elections. “Maybe you should wait till you get there first… You are yet to have the experience of leading anyone’s PR into any contest,” he stated. “We lost the 2024 elections, sadly, but I didn’t abandon my Boss. I am still here standing by him and fighting with him till we attain the goal.”

Aboagye accused Kwarteng of having a track record of disloyalty, pointing out that he had abandoned his previous boss despite the latter’s achievements. He also reminded Kwarteng of his own unsuccessful bid for election in a local constituency, which yielded just 12 votes, despite campaigning in his own neighborhood.

“This election isn’t about you and the earlier you realize that, the better for you,” Aboagye warned, urging Kwarteng to avoid spreading falsehoods against the Bawumia team.

He concluded his response by issuing a caution: “Next time you attempt discrediting anything from the Bawumia side, do that with facts and not falsehoods… Step up your Facts Game and then you can get to engage us. Until then, use today well. You won’t get our attention from tomorrow.”

The sharp exchange is seen as part of growing tensions within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) following their defeat in the 2024 elections, as internal figures begin to assess blame and reposition themselves ahead of future contests.
