Vice President Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang on Tuesday held a strategic engagement with the Functional Executive Committee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), reaffirming the party’s unity and commitment to Ghana’s development agenda.
A statement from the Office of the Vice President, shared with the Ghana News Agency, indicated that the delegation was led by NDC National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia and General Secretary Fiifi Fiavi Kwetey, along with other prominent party executives.
The visit, according to the statement, was to extend goodwill and demonstrate the party’s unwavering support for the Vice President.
“I am deeply grateful for their continued prayers, solidarity, and encouragement,” Prof. Opoku-Agyemang said, expressing appreciation for what she described as the “unique family spirit” within the NDC. She urged the party leadership to preserve this unity, especially in challenging times.
The Vice President also called for a renewed focus on the “national reset agenda” spearheaded by President John Dramani Mahama. She encouraged collective action to deliver on the party’s promises and contribute meaningfully to national progress.
“As we forge ahead, I call for a renewed collective effort toward the national reset agenda led by His Excellency John Dramani Mahama. Together, let us work to deliver on our commitments for the advancement of our beloved nation,” she concluded.
