Former Western North Regional Minister, Joojo Rocky Obeng, has thrown his full support behind Kennedy Ohene Agyapong’s presidential ambitions, commending the former Assin Central MP for his unwavering loyalty and philanthropic dedication to the grassroots of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
In a birthday tribute to Agyapong, Mr. Obeng hailed his contributions to the party and the nation, describing him as a “generous giver” whose commitment to ordinary Ghanaians spans the length and breadth of the country.
“You have made numerous life-changing donations from the North to the South, and from the East to the West. Your loyalty and generosity are unmatched,” Mr. Obeng stated.
To further demonstrate his support, the former minister announced the donation of a valuable property in East Legon to aid Agyapong’s ongoing reorganisation efforts within the party.
“Today being your birthday, I am donating one of my landed properties to you, to support the work you are doing to strengthen the party base. I cannot sit back while you carry this burden alone,” he said.
Mr. Obeng urged Agyapong to stay resolute in his efforts to energize the NPP and inspire the youth. “Continue to be firm, courageous, and consistent in championing the welfare of young people and revitalising our party. May God strengthen you in this noble pursuit,” he added.
Kennedy Agyapong, who finished second in the NPP’s 2023 presidential primaries, remains a powerful force in the party, particularly among its grassroots and entrepreneurial circles.
