The Minister of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, has given strong assurances to the Ghanaian public that the recent appreciation of the Ghana cedi against the US dollar will soon bring relief to consumers.
According to her, the strengthened currency is expected to lead to a significant reduction in the prices of goods and services across the country within the next 60 days.
She emphasized that the government is closely monitoring the situation and working with relevant stakeholders to ensure that the benefits of the improved exchange rate are reflected in the market.
The Minister expressed confidence that Ghanaians will begin to experience lower costs of living as a direct result of the cedi’s improved performance.
