More Jail Time: Kwabena Adu-Boahene Rearrested Over Another Case After Completing 7-Day Remand

Former National Signals Bureau boss, Kwabena Adu-Boahene, has been rearrested after completing his seven working day remand and is said to remain in police custody.

The ex-government appointee was initially remanded in EOCO custody on Friday, May 2, over allegations of witness tampering.

According to reports, his lawyer, Samuel Atta Akyea, informed the court on May 13 that his client had been rearrested on a separate matter after the initial remand period had lapsed. However, Akyea did not disclose the new case and its details.

This comes after the Attorney General, Dr Dominic Ayine, had earlier disclosed that Adu-Boahene was under investigation in connection with an internet connectivity case at Ghana Water Limited.

Meanwhile, the state has filed all its witness statements and is expected to disclose them to the defence by no later than May 20.
