King Paluta’s “Aseda” Wins Best Hiplife Song of the Year at 26th TGMA

Rising rap sensation King Paluta has bagged one of the top honors at the 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), winning Best Hiplife Song of the Year for his inspiring and widely loved single, “Aseda.”

A heartfelt track that blends gratitude with raw street poetry, “Aseda” (meaning “Thanksgiving” in Twi) captured the hearts of Ghanaians across all walks of life. With its catchy chorus, clever wordplay, and signature hiplife rhythm, the song became an anthem of celebration and resilience.

The single racked up impressive streaming numbers—over 50 million streams on Boomplay, 42 million on Audiomack, and a spot among Spotify’s Top 100 in Ghana with over 8 million streams—cementing its place as one of the year’s most impactful releases.

King Paluta’s win is especially notable considering the stiff competition in the category, which included strong contenders like Tulenkey’s “Bad Feeling”, Eno Barony’s “Soja Go Soja Come”, and Sarkodie’s “No Sir.”

Known for his witty lyricism, cultural authenticity, and streetwise appeal, King Paluta has steadily grown into one of the most exciting voices in Ghanaian music. His TGMA win is both a celebration of his artistry and a clear sign that hiplife remains alive and evolving in the hands of a new generation.

“Aseda” isn’t just a hit—it’s a movement, and King Paluta is leading the charge.
