Akwaboah Honors Three Generations of Musical Legacy with Soulful Live Album Live and Personal

Renowned Highlife maestro and multi-talented musician Akwaboah has officially released his much-anticipated new project, Live and Personal—a powerful nine-track live album that pays homage to the enduring musical legacy of the Akwaboah family, spanning three generations.

 

More than just an album, Live and Personal is a deeply personal and emotional journey through melody and memory. The live-recorded compilation blends timeless highlife tunes and classics from his grandfather, Master Bob Akwaboah, and father, the legendary Kwadwo Akwaboah, most notably the evergreen Awerekyekyere, with Akwaboah’s own soulful compositions.

 

Rooted in the rich tradition of Highlife, the album is a heartfelt celebration of love, legacy, and life, delivered through masterful instrumentation and authentic, live studio recordings. Every note resonates with raw emotion and elegant arrangements, capturing the essence of Akwaboah’s distinct sound and storytelling.
