Adutwum Declares Bid for NPP Flagbearer Ahead of 2028 Elections

Former Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, has officially declared his intention to run for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearership in preparation for the 2028 general elections.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, April 1, Dr. Adutwum positioned himself as the party’s strongest contender, pointing to his track record and transformative vision for Ghana as the foundation of his campaign.

“Amidst the noise, results speak louder than slogans. My impact is felt nationwide, and my vision represents the true path to Ghana’s transformation. #TheAdutwumFactor,” he wrote.

Dr. Adutwum is widely recognized for his innovative education reforms and results-driven leadership style.

His declaration adds momentum to what is expected to be a fiercely contested internal race once the NPP officially opens nominations.
