Eugene Boakye Antwi declares bid for NPP General Secretary position

Former Member of Parliament for the Subin Constituency, Eugene Boakye Antwi, has declared his intention to contest for the General Secretary position of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), promising to modernize the party if elected.

Antwi, who also served as a former Deputy Minister for Works and Housing, made his aspirations known, stating that his goal is not merely to manage the party’s affairs but to transform it for the future.

“I am contesting the General Secretary position of the NPP not just to manage the party, but to modernize it,” Antwi affirmed.

Born on May 7, 1980, Eugene Boakye Antwi has a diverse professional background.

He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Market Research and a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Business Administration from the University of Westminster, as well as a Higher National Diploma (HND).

His career spans banking at Barclays Bank (now ABSA) from 1999 to 2002, administration at the Lord Chancellor’s Department from 2002 to 2006, and directorship at EUGASS Limited from 2006 to 2016.

His political career includes representing the Subin Constituency in the Ashanti Region during the Seventh Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana on the ticket of the NPP.

Antwi aims to succeed the current General Secretary, Justin Frimpong-Kodua, and bring his vision of a modernized NPP to fruition.
